Few pics from New York, where Blake and Brandy got married on March 20th. We are so glad we got to attend and share that day with them.

Thank you to Jimmy’s aunts for throwing us a wonderful couple’s shower. Picture above is from the relay race, one of many fun games at the shower!

Just a quick update from last night’s flag football victory…Vanessa had 3 sacks.  This is unheard of for one game of flag football.  To put it into perspective, a good QB should only be sacked 3 times per season.

MVP.

You may not know this, but Vanessa and best man Blake did a little modeling at one of our events a few years ago.  The event photographer asked them to pose for the camera to sell a little scotch.  He did not ask me to pose (come on!), so I had to sneak in and do my best to crack up Blake and totally ruin the photo.

Mission accomplished.

We went and registered on Sunday at Crate & Barrel.  They opened the store early for engaged couples to register and it was fun and easy.  Vanessa did some preliminary registering online the week before, so as we walked around we had a really good idea of what we wanted.

The place was not crowded at all, they had really helpful staff and there was free breakfast tacos and mimosas for those so inclined.  Too bad the other place we went wasn’t as awesome (i.e. Bed, Bath & Beyond).

We updated our Crate & Barrel registry and it is now available online and it is also noted on the registry page of the blog.

So I flipped on the TV a few minutes ago to check out some Super Bowl pregame stuff and the FIRST thing I saw was this logo I designed for the Dallas Historical Society’s Tom Landry exhibit.
Fox was coming back from commercial and was overlaying sponsor logos, but in between you could see my tiny logo hanging down the Hall of State at Fair Park.
The exhibit was so popular during the State Fair that they decided to bring it back for the Super Bowl.  Here’s an article about it.
If my calculations are correct, my logo just got $160,000 dollars worth of exposure for free!
